Personality: L isn't a very complex kind of guy. He is very curious-natured, and ponders what he doesn't know. He always remains very calm and collected, observing the situation at hand, and resolving it in the easiest way noticeable. He is against violence, but knows how to be violent himself. L is also quite the intelligent young man, and he has a strong-will. Often he has a natural intuition on certain things... Which often frightens him. He is a timid person, not speaking up very much. His whole saying is, the Listener can't become an enemy to the Speaker, but the Speaker can become an enemy to the Speaker. He is somewhat of a pessimist, thinking negatively for himself, and hoping for more in others. He likes to remain organized, and is a pretty natural leader, often used as Novus Unus Labs Task Manager to his fellow Subjects, that's all they were, including himself, subjects of a corrupt Facility, a corrupt Government. Faction & RankFaction: Formerly he was considered by his family to be a part of the Order of the Assassins, however, he currently is forced to service Novus Unus Laboratories. Rank: His family had considered him to be worthy of an Assassin, nothing more however due to his incomplete training. Years in Service: He had been Assassinating targets for roughly 3 years, but knew of his families history as having Assassin blood for about 7 years. Bloodline TraitEagle Vision: Yes, L does have Eagle Vision, however, he can't move with his Eagle Vision activated, at least not quite yet. When his Eagle Vision is activated, his iris goes from a grey color to a cold golden color. Advanced Eagle Vision: -- Gifts & TalentsGifts: L has a lot of "gifts" his most noticeable gift is his IQ of 201. However, due to his 'broken' state of mind he doesn't often tap into his potential and apply himself very often. Another noticeable trait his his impressive memory, he can memorize things he saw hours ago, and draw it completely on a canvas, with all things in proportion to one another as they are in reality, and everything located where he memorized them to be. Since he came from a pure-blooded Assassin family, he was gifted with above average reflexes and awareness, as well as natural flexibility. Talents: L is capable of doing many things with his talents. He is a trained acrobat, being tutored under his Parents for years. He also has trained his agility with his family, refining him, giving him additional stamina for prolonged periods of time. He is very flexible, and is skilled with lockpicking, and pickpocketing. Since his father worked with politics, he had learned a few things about morale, and using your influence on others. He was trained in various martial arts like Assassins are traditionally supposed to be trained in, and he has already killed a few people, so, he can be ruthless. He trained his lungs in order to breathe underwater for prolonged periods of time, and resist violent pressure in the air and seas for a short period of time. His parents have put him in scenarios where he was forced to escape, so, he knows a bit of some escape-tricks. And, due to his precise agility, he can wonder around very silently. Weapons & ArmorPrimary Weapon: Before being taken in by the Novus Unus Labs, L had commonly used his hidden blade against his targets, however, he has used various handguns as well. Secondary Weapon: He never really used a secondary weapon. If he felt it was too stupid to try an up-close and personal kill, he would resort to perhaps a Pistol. Armor: L didn't wear anything fancy, unlike his families long line of assassins, a man wearing a cloak, and hood with a beak was quite a suspicious man, so, L would normally wear casual clothing during his assassinations. Additional EquipmentProjectiles: L normally carried around a couple of smoke grenades, and very rarely a pair of darts that would blend in well with certain environments. Nothing really fancy however. Gadgets: From time to time L would use the grapple wired into his right wristband to gain access into secure areas. He would also whip out a switch blade from the sole of his shoes, or tip, but nothing too advanced. Accessories: L always wears his families crest which is in the form of a pendant of some kind. Novus Unus Labs allowed him to keep it, seeing nothing interesting in their studies of it. It was simply a family item, and still is a family item that L wears everyday. L was born into one of the most brilliant Assassin families, the Choisi Soleil, whose ancestors are credited with ending the corrupt Rule of France many times in past years, assassinating powerful Templar, and opposing their influence altogether. The Choise Soleil were also credited with putting just, or capable Kings to power in older times, and aiding in developing the peaceful times of Europe, which was a rare case. L's mother was Veille du Choisi Soleil, and his father was Revue du Choisi-Soleil. L had one younger brother named Sphère du Choisi Soleil. At first, L hadn't suspected a thing from his Parents, he just thought they lived a normal life in the Appalachian Mountains, figured his Parents were into nature, and enjoyed the isolation the Mountain brought them. He was educated very well by both his parents who were prominent members of society at one point. His father had once been the Senator of Maryland, his Mother was the owner of some kind of Banking Industry. However, they randomly decided they wanted to settle down, and "retire" from the rest of the World, and they put all their teachings into L so that he'd be able to wonder into the Real World when he was older... Or so he thought. Eventually, when L hit age 12 he had overheard his mother and father speaking about Templar, and some kind of chase. It was all so strange. It wasn't until he noticed his father's bloody blade, that he had suspected they just murdered someone. He approached his Parents, and they covered the entire occurrence up. From that point on, his Parents became stricter, as if a legacy was a lot more important now. L knew something was going on, that something must've always been going on, but, it was until he hit age 16, that his Parents actually admitted it.
Under the Hood - Spoiler:
When L was 16, his Parents had finally admitted their "duty". When L discovered his Parents were Assassins, everything came together. No wonder why they were always isolated in Appalachia, they were avoiding the public, and the trees shrouded them perfectly. L was certainly upset about hearing his Parents were trained killers, no, natural killers, and he felt that his life was all kind of a lie. His Parents of course clarified that that wasn't it at all. They explained the Assassin's Creed, and the Templar, everything. It was then that they had said they'd teach L, and of course, L, realizing the dire conditions, gave in to their disciplines. His younger brother always remained so naive, enjoying the wildlife, completely unaware that it was just a huge haystack, and that the Choisi Soleil was the needle in the haystack. From that point on L began his training. Within a year he had understood the basics, and even began developing his Eagle Vision. Which wasn't exactly clear to him then, and still isn't now. Nonetheless, when he reached age 18, he was mature, and skillful enough to take on Assassination Contracts other Assassins weren't willing to risk taking. While many other Assassins were in hiding, the Choisi Soleil remained completely active. L would stalk the night, or, he would hide in plain sight during the day. One after another he killed the unjust. His Parents honored him for his progress. He was truly becoming a killing machine. Never had L encountered another Assassin, he grew used to being lonely, and sometimes ruthless... It was in his blood. Soon enough, L would realize that these Contracts stacking up, were only made to lure out the notorious Choisi Soleil family to the Templar.
Loss & Captivity- Spoiler:
Eventually, the isolated Choisi Soleil hut in Appalachia was attacked by the Templar, now taking on the disguise of a genetic engineering laboratory, a confidential one, even to the general public, and some of Congress, perhaps the President even? Nonetheless, L's parents were hit by surprise, they managed to fight off a few Templar, but it wasn't enough, and Templar had killed them in front of L's eyes. This shattered L's calmness... Sanity. L went into a rampage and slaughtered quite a few Templar, but, his rage was uncontrollable, and lacking balance. The Templar eventually lured L into a trap, and outsmarted him. Through pain they had soothed him. His younger brother chased after him, and the Templar decided they'd only need one Assassin of the legendary Choisi Soleil line. In front of his eyes, lacking the power to do anything about it... His six year old brother had been skewered by one of the Templar. A slow, and painful death. He heard his brother shriek, and cough up what seemed to be a tank of blood... His small body would never be able to take that kind of blow. L had died that day, his hope had gone up and left him. The Templar brought the now-silenced Assassin back to their Lab in Nevada. He was stripped of his weapons, and clothing, and forced to wear the white garments Novus Unus Labs gave him. The Templar allowed L to keep the one thing that would always remind him of his families death, that would torture him. His families crest in the form of a pendant around L's neck. He was labeled "Subject 13" and stripped of his identity, his history. At this point, he is very pessimistic.
